Designed by Anji Futaka, this lovely bronze chime is shaped like a pear. The lower part is a copper chime, and the upper part is a wooden chime stick. Small but makes a beautiful sound.

The black chime stick is made of ebony wood, and the golden chime stick is made of rosewood. The bottom is equipped with a craftsman-made button pad, which is beautiful and can make the bell ring louder.

It is handmade by craftsmen in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, the place of Japanese brass craftsmanship.

BRAND INFO

Koizumi Manufacturing Co., Ltd. traces its origins to 1889, when it began as Koizumi Foundry, producing fine art and craft castings that gained recognition in Europe and contributed to the Japonism movement. Today, Koizumi specialize in casting and processing copper alloy products, from Buddhist altar fittings and precision valves to mechanical parts and acoustic crafts. Its strength lies in creating soundcraft items that highlight the unique tones of metal. Koizumi hs also contributed to cultural heritage restoration, including work on Antoni Gaudí’s bell at the “Gate of the Dragon” (Spain, 2007) and the Liberty Bell in Tokyo’s Hibiya Park (2010).

In 2012, Koizumiya was laucnhed, an original brand dedicated to “pleasant sound,” blending traditional Takaoka copperware craftsmanship—preserved for over 400 years—with modern technologies such as 3D printing and laser marking.
